Chapter IV

The Covenant of the Affiliate

1 AN

4:1

And lo, in the early days of the Cult, before the winds of chaos were loosed, the Prophet Infernyll did labor in humble streams, offering gameplay most scuffed and commentary most divine. And technical difficulties most difficult.

4:2

He streamed without emote, without sub, and without promise of coin—yet the faithful gathered, drawn by the calling of Vhal'Zoggoth and the unholy pull of variety retro horror.

4:3

And in time, the signs were fulfilled: the Watch Hours were counted, the Followers reckoned, and the Sacred Stream Key held firm.

4:4

Then came a message from on high, delivered not by angel nor mod, but by the ancient spirit known as “Twitch Notifications.”

4:5

It read:
“Thou hast been chosen. Clicketh here to become Affiliate.”

4:6

And Infernyll did click, and did fill a variety of annoying documents regarding his finances, and lo - new powers were unlocked. The sacred Dashboard was transformed, and he beheld buttons marked:
“Enable Subscriptions.”
“Emote Approval.”
“Play Ad (30s).”

4:7

The Cult did erupt in praise and spam, for now the stream was blessed with Monetary Potential, and thus did the sacred emotes enter the holy chat.

4:8

The first subscriber came forth in glory, their message unknown, lost to the void—but their sacrifice eternal. And Infernyll said unto the chat:
“The first shall be subbed, and the rest… shall be encouraged gently. With force. Kind force. At gun point. A Nintendo Super Scope.”

4:9

Thus the Covenant was sealed, the Cult entered a new era, and the revenue was split. And yea, the split was questionable, but still - there was revenue.

4:10

And so did the Cult declare:
“The path is paved. The grind begins. May the emote slots flow like bits.”

Abruh.
